Steve Hartman is a passionate basketball fan who just loves talking ball. Growing up playing on a concrete pad in small-town Minnesota, Steve has been in love with the game of basketball for as long as he can remember.

Coaching took over his life in his early 20s to mid 30s when he coached basketball from 2003-2015 at the high school and Division III college level.

Now he spends his time chasing around 2 boys in their pursuits, but the passion for the game was still there. After a friend took him to NBA Summer League that fire was lit and the Splash City Basketball Podcast was born.

Splash City Basketball Podcast was meant to bring the game of basketball to life from a Minnesota lens. The so-called “State of Hockey” has a great basketball tradition from the youth level to the NBA including some of the finest young stars today like Chet Holmgren, and all-time greats like Kevin McHale.
